The Digimon for March 29th, 2013 is DinoRexmon!

With strength far in excess of other Dinosaur Digimon, it is a carnivorous Dinosaur Digimon named the “King of Terror" due to the unparalleled ferocious nature it displays in battle. With its talons, which are almost half as long as its body, it seizes the opponent, snaps and brandishes its gigantic jaws at them, then kills them. Its exceedingly brutal manner, which appears in the finest battles of a world where the weak are food for the strong, is probably the reason it is called the "King". Also, partly due to it fighting with other DinoRexmon, it is said that the population is very small. Its Special Moves are seizing and killing the opponent with its talons (Splatter Hunting), and firing ultra-high-temperature grenades, with a semi-fluid form similar to magma, from its mouth (Ogre Flame). Even if these ultra-high-temperature grenades don’t hit the opponent, they burn down the surroundings at the same time.

Did you know that…?
DinoRexmon is a Ultimate-level digimon, which is called a “Mega” in the US. His Attribute is Data, and he is classified as a Dinosaur Type digimon. He belongs to the Nature Spirit family.
DinoRexmon’s name is derived from “dino” as in “dinosaur”, and “rex”, as in “Tyrannosaurus rex." However, from a conceptual standpoint, he is derived from two different kinds of dinosaurs: the aforementioned Tyrannosaurus, and the deinonychosaurs, or “raptors”, which were popularized by films such as Jurassic Park. In particular, his long, blade-like toe claws are based on (and exaggerations of) the long sickle-like claws found on raptors’ feet.
DinoRexmon has an x-shaped marking on his chest in the same place as MasterTyrannomon.
DinoRexmon is one of many digimon that carries the X-Antibody.
Anime and Manga Appearances
DinoRexmon does not appear in the anime. He did, however, make a brief appearance in the Chinese D-Cyber manhua, where he was one of many dinosaur digimon faced by Kana Masuken and his partner Ryudamon.
However, despite not appearing in the anime, he has stock Toei artwork of himself.
Video Games and Virtual Pets

DinoRexmon is an attainable Ultimate evolution in the Pendulum X 2.0, and also appears in the DigiWindow and Digimon Xros Loader. His only video game appearances are in Digimon Life and Digimon Collectors.
